I’ve decided to collect resources for those searching for the truth about a policy developed to establish fair access to employment opportunities, create a workforce that is an accurate reflection of the demographics of the qualified available workforce in the relevant job market.

I will be updating this post with information on resources to help supporters of the policy be better advocates. I encourage you to share relevant articles, programs, and resources in the comments below.

  1. Affirmative action” is a set of procedures designed to eliminate unlawful discrimination between job applicants, remedy the results of such prior discrimination, and prevent such discrimination in the future.

  2. Since the birth of affirmative action in the 1960s, many cases of revolving around affirmative action have been brought to the Supreme Court. Host a game night to spark a discussion about inequality.

  3. In 2012, women made up 46.9% of the workforce and held roughly 51.5% of managerial, professional, and related positions.
